True Story: She’s a member of the Sandwich Generation, just like many of the families she serves. She has two aging parents, and also cares for an adult son with autism/epilepsy. She can undoubtedly relate to the majority of families that sit across from her during planning sessions.

Funny story: She has never lived outside of Florida.

Brittney Tolbert is an attorney dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate some of life's most important — and often most difficult — moments. At Legally Remote, PLLC, she focuses her practice on estate planning and probate, guiding clients through both the proactive work of planning for the future and the sensitive work of settling a loved one's affairs.

Brittney understands that estate planning and probate are rarely just legal matters — they are deeply personal ones. She brings genuine compassion and patience to every client relationship, taking the time to listen closely, explain options clearly, and walk families through the probate process with care during what is often a season of grief. Whether she is helping a client build a thoughtful, comprehensive estate plan or supporting a grieving family through the probate process, Brittney is committed to making the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Brittney's path to estate planning was shaped by earlier experience in criminal defense and civil litigation, which sharpened the careful, detail-oriented approach she brings to every document and every case today. A Florida native, she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her bachelor's degree from Florida International University.

Outside of work, Brittney enjoys watching cooking competition shows and spending time with family and friends.

Legal Assistant

Valerie is a mother, daughter, sibling, caregiver, and is married to her best friend. She cares about others deeply and looks for ways to bring comfort to others.

As the Legal Assistant, she works on the front line, talking to curious callers and welcoming committed new families that hire our firm.

If you book a discovery call, you will most likely be speaking with her.

Director of Client Services

Luz is a grandmother, mother, daughter, sister and married to her high school sweetheart. She caring, considerate, kind and simply loves people.

Luz is the glue to our back-office. She keeps records, keeps everyone looped in, and provides the needed, reassuring follow up to all of our beloved families we serve.

If you call us with questions on how to get to our office, or receive a call from our office to confirm your appointments, you will most likely be hearing Luz’s friendly voice.

Boaz is husband, Father, Brother & uncle. He stays behind the scenes helping keep the office running, healthy and organized. He also wears the “in-house” IT support hat.

Boaz also helps manage other family-owned businesses in the area.

You probably won’t speak to Boaz, but if you do, it will be because he’s serving as a Notary, a signing witness or just stopping by to say hello.

Marketing Specialist

Marlon is a son, sibling, uncle & married to his best friend. His entire adulthood experience has been one of service, and he continues to share his thoughtful ideas and messages via our blog articles, newsletters and social media channels in the spirit of servitude.

You’ll probably never run into Marlon, because he works 100% remote from North Carolina. If you do bump into him, tell him hi!

True Story: He has been a full-time minister for his entire adult life.
